Band Camp Help Needed!


We are coming up on band camp pretty quickly. Drumline and Guard start on July 27th-28th from 9-3. Full band starts on July 29th-31st and August 3rd-7th from 8-4. We always need help with both lunches and this year, screening kids as part of the WCS Covid procedures (more below). We need 4 volunteers every morning from 7:30-8:00 am to screen the kids (ask questions and take temperatures). We are also in need of about 15 people to help prep lunches every day from 10:30 am – 1 pm. Speaking of volunteers, it is district protocol that all volunteers have a background check on file. With the closure of the main office, you can submit the background check form and copy of drivers license to me, and I will submit directly to HR. Also new this year is they want all volunteers to undergo Covid training. This is a half hour virtual training set up with someone from our HR Department to lay out the volunteer protocols as it relates to Covid. They are havingthe first of these training this Saturday from 8:30-9:00 am. If you would like to participate, let me know and I will send you the link and put you on the list.

Both of these are requirements to volunteer during the school year for anything, and at every WCS school if you have any kids in other buildings.
